It is with regret that we have to inform you that Dr Richard Paterson will be retiring from his role as a GP Partner at The Croft Practice on the 1st November, 2019.
He has chosen this date, as it will be exactly 25 years since he joined the Practice as a GP principal in 1994.
After so many years of dedicated commitment to the Practice, he feels it is now the time for him to pursue a number of alternative activities which he has been considering for some time, along with having the opportunity to spend more quality time with his family.
This has not been an easy decision for him to take, but he feels the time is now right to make this significant change in his life.
He will of course miss the regular contact with his patients; many of whom he has known and looked after for a considerable number of years since joining the Practice. Similarly, he has valued memories of team working within the Practice, and the relationships which have developed over the years with the wider local community which The Croft serves.
There is some good news in that he has expressed a desire to continue to help the Practice, as required, in a non-clinical, advisory capacity. This may include working with the team in a consultancy role, pursuing their aim to achieve a new surgery, together with involvement in other ongoing projects as the Practice moves forward in these changing times.
Whilst Dr Paterson will be greatly missed in his current role, we are sure that you would like to join us is wishing him and his family health and happiness in their future endeavours.
If you would like to write a personal message to him, there will be a book available in reception at The Croft and Meadowcroft Surgeries.
